    Music Is My "Life"

More often than not, now days, children, teenagers and even adults are using music as a way of life. It has become the way people live versus a part of life. More often than not you would find a person listening to music or dedicated their life to music and never stepping outside themselves to find out if music is really what they want to live or if music is why they are living.

Recently a young boy died, and like most teenagers now days, he was a music enthusiast. My sister, who was a good friend of his, dedicated a song to him about his life where as others found songs of their own to complete his memory in the best way they knew due to the relationship they held with him.

A lot now we are seeing that music is not only a way to live life but music has become a way to keep life or keep it going after death. There are songs, such as "Save You" by Simple Plan, that are about keeping life going until there is nothing to protect someone from. In that case, cancer. And there are other songs, such as "Candle In The Wind" by Elton John, dedicated to a life that once was.

Teenagers lives are filled with hormones and emotions they cannot explain. Adults hit crisis in their lives with family and friends and even work. Mothers find that the only way to get a small child to sleep is with soothing tunes late at night. It is with the medicine of music that all these situations are able to cope.

Although teenagers are found to be listening to more and more provocative or inappropriate things, the medicine of the anger or passion that is released into the ears of their listeners is a way for them to relate to the things that are going on. It is making them feel like they are not so alone. This works the same for adults.

Many others, who find that music has brought mischief to the world, well I would have to say they are only half right. Music, not only has inspired life but has allowed it to evolve. People for the revolution and evolution of man such as Bob Marley and John Lennon have made it so that artists now could encourage our progress as humans to a higher level of humanity.

But not matter if they carry the word of peace or they carry the world of rebelion against parents who don't understand, our music is here to stay because our music, as I said, is our medicine. It is who we are as people and that will never change.

So now the next time you hear someone tell you music is their life, you know they mean it.

    Sincerely Torn,

    Sekirei-San

    Summit's Twilight OOPS!

After a long wait from all Twilight series fans the movie premiered November 21 to an all too excited audience. However their moods had changed during the duration of the film to a much more disappointed group of watchers.

The film overall only brought in a 44% pleased audience rating!

The film itself, directed by Catherine Hardwick. Twilight is a film based off of Stephanie Meyer's book about a young girl named Bella (Stewart) who falls in love with a vampire (Pattinson). All four of the books have hit the top of the ratings as far as book reviews go and also have accumulated a hardy fan base.

So now, what do they do about this movie that was less than satisfying? Well, Summit Entertainment, yes Twilight fans, has answered our prayers! On December 7, 2008, Hardwick (Director of equally bad, angsty movies such as Thirteen)told audences she would not be directing the now NOT so anticipated sequel, New Moon. Whether or not she got the boot is up for debate but after several accounts of complaints over Hardwicks tantrums on set I think we can all come to a righteous conclusion!

So now the director, obviously hell bent on making all teenagers out to look like horny, drama filled idiots (Also another topic in debate) is off and several others are ready to jump on the project, what now?

Summit Entertainment apparently was not only displeased with Hardwick but the ever-so baby faced beauty Taylor Lautner who plays the role of Jacob Black in the movie. Although his role was minimal in Twilight, Jacob is a huge character in the next film so it is obvious that NOW they would want to decided who this character should be played by.

It is understandable that Hardwick was a bad choice from day one but we will allow Summit to have that one misshap. However, getting into a series, they should have read fully into the story before casting someone so important for a role they were unsure of the actor for! This all comes down to lack of planning and commitment to a film.

The Twilight Series, however bad it turns out or better it gets, will have dedicated viewers there, if only to criticize their bad choices and if that. The question that now rests in all heads is when is Summit going to get its stuff together and realize how big of a deal this really is?
